When the download has completed, follow the instructions below to get up and running in no time.

Download and run the Easy-IP v6 Installer. For the majority of installations, you can accept the default settings. If you already have a previous version of Firebird server installed, you can select "Use an existing Firebird Server".

When the installation is complete select the option to run the Configuration Manager.

The Configuration Wizard will guide you through the creation of a new database. Once the database has been created it will be automatically attached to the Easy-IP server.

If you have a database that was created with a previous version of Easy-IP now is the time to import it into Easy-IPv6. For more information about configuring your database and importing existing databases, see the getting started guide.

The first time you click next in the Configuration Wizard you will be asked for your licence information. If you donh't have a licence you can request one now. Click the Generate a personal trial licence now and enter your information. A personalised trial licence will be sent to you within a few minutes. If you have any problems, you can also request a trial licence by sending an email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Create Import

After entering your licence details, you will be asked to specify a location for the new database. Click next to enter the details for the Administrator user then next again to specify the location of the database you want to import (assuming you selected this option on the first page).

Clicking next will create the new database, import the existing data and attach the database to the local Easy-IP Server. Answer Yes when asked if you would like to restart the server.

Client

You are now ready to start documenting your network. You probably want to first run a Network Discovery, followed by a Host Discovery to find and document the individual nodes on the network.
